Sophia Coppola's Marie Antoinette - colour inspiration for S/S 2012...
Today in 1793 Marie Antoinette, teen Queen of France was executed by guillotine for treason. Sophia Coppola's magical film about the young life of the French royal is a fashion / costume lovers dream. I adore this film and her use of a predominantly pastel colour palette throughout is so spot on with the ice cream shades that were all over the catwalks for S/S 2012. The amaze soundtrack to the film also includes two of my favourite songs - The Strokes 'What Ever Happened?' and Dustin O'Halloran's 'Opus 23'.
