Foot Fetish Friday - Pearl Velvet...
Pearlescent and iridescent materials were having a big moment on the S/S 2012 catwalks. Nicolas Ghesquiere opened his show at Balenciaga with a boxy black wide dropped shoulder jacket with contrast front panels in this shade using a high shine/high tech satin and La Lagerfeld showed several looks with a pearlescent/iridescent sheen about them at Chanel. The Spring catwalks also had a major bridal thing going on too {I will be doing a big post with lots of cool inspirational images over the weekend when I tell all about the wedding dress project I have just taken on} and the below pointed toe Cinderella-esque mule from Miu Miu and round toe pump from Dolce would work beautifully on any brides toes, really feeling the idea of summer velvet...

Hot Pink Head-to-Toe...
Am really feeling this idea of Miss Free's hot pink hair styled with a hot pink beanie and dress in the same shade and if I had had my way pink pumps too. Maybe I need to investigate an Jade green version on the high street to go with my locks or get knitting! I totally think top-to-toe mono-colour is going to be the new colour block trend come Spring 2012. It may sound scary but wearing shades of the same colour is actually a really great way to elongate your figure as your body is not broken up by the change in colours.

Beautician Nurse...
If this seasons fashion femme fatale is the maid in various fetishic guises {see Louis Vuitton et al} then come Spring we will be coming over all pure with the clinical white coated beautician-come-nurse-come lab-coat look. I always loved the idea of Miss R having a white coat that she wore when she started work in the morning in her studio illustrating, maybe even with Rose embroidered onto the top patch pocket. Well if it's good enough for the couturiers at Chanel and Dior and the cratfsman at Prada. Foot Fetish Friday - Disco Pearl Platform...
The Rochas Spring Summer 2012 catwalk show was one of my favourite collections from Paris. A fifties fantasia from the ankle up anchored by mirrored glass mother of pearlesque platform mules and slingbacks that really worked with the pastel organza's and high shine heavyweight satins of the clothing.
