'Filthy Wilde for William SS 2013'...
On the Friday eve of LFW I was backstage at London's infamous nightclub The Box assisting my great friend, designer and costumier extraordinaire Mr Wilde with styling and general preparations for his debut off schedule show. In a collection where latex lined lace, printed silk jersey, peacock plumes, jewelled rubber and sequins collided in a palette of jade and mint greens, gold and black with hot pink accents - a modern day cleopatra was born. With the gorgeous Daisy Lowe opening and closing the show and a bevy of other beautiful girls {some models/some dancers and performers from the club itself}, amazing ginger hair wigs from Emilia Hermelin, makeup by the very talented Thom Ticklemouse and his team and exquisite gown upon exquisite gown we were in for an evening of exclusive entertainment and excess. Thought I would share some shots I took backstage with you all, just before and as the show got underway, look out for the man himself and the Egyptian head piece I made to go with William's show stopping final look - enjoy...

Foot Fetish Friday - 'Prada's Tabi Sock Geisha Girls'
There is something going on with footwear for Spring 2013 if some of the big players in the industry are anything to go by and that something are flats. Yes, flats. It's happening on the streets too with a noticeable proportion of the FROW working a flat shoe/boot this season and it looks really cool and modern. Don't get me wrong - I love a heel and their leg lengthening effects but there is nothing worse than a women who can't walk in her heels. You could be wearing THE most desirable footwear but if you are tottering along precariously it is never going to be a good look. I also feel flats are a great way to give a more dressed up evening look egde. In NY when Victoria Beckham {self confessed queen of the killer heel} sent her models down the runway sans her signature 4/5 incher I felt something was bubbling. Anyway, I digress, the shoes that caught my eye this Friday are from Prada and they have a futuristic geisha girl slant with metallic leather tabi sock {some models just wore these sans shoe} and satin bow strap harajuku platform with leather daisy appliqué - WANT.

'Au Revoir Bijoux - Aloha Hawaii!'...
I write this post after an epic packing session, I am going on a summer holiday tomorrow and am off to Hawaii! I am tagging along on one of Mr J's business trips and am beyond excited to be off for a week to this tropical paradise. Needless to say le blog will be a little bit quiet until the end of next week unless Miss R does one of her biannual posts!?! Nothing new there I hear you cry in terms of the irregularity of my posts recently - yes sorry, I seem to have been swept up in Olympic fever - I am seriously addicted to the London 2012 games. Anyway I thought I would share this lush stripe floppy hat that I bagged in the sales to keep the sun off of my face in Aloha land. Totally reminded me of the Spring 2011 Prada bee stripe sombrero's that as you know I was more than a little obsessed with. I have even sewn some black ribbon ties to it so I can wear on my back like the models did in the show!

'Blur vs. Oasis'...
On Thursday eve myself, Mr J and my friend Jaz attended the private view of the new Blur 21: The exhibition at the LondonNewcastle Gallery on Redchurch Street, East London. With all of the band in attendance {although gutted I didn't spot one member *walks around with eyes closed*} there was such a buzz in the space and this was only added to by delicious Sauvignon Blanc {no cheap house white here}, Couvoisier cocktails - cooler or punch and copious canapes; I think I lost count of the number of goats cheese filled cherry tomatoes with thyme foam I ate, and this from someone who usually doesn't indulge in finger food at such events due to a} fear of dropping food down myself, b} ending up with food in my teeth at in inopportune moment or c} said canape being laced with meat - oh the fear of the veggie! Anyway after drooling over Alex James {Jaz, not myself} and looking at all the well edited images we started having a debate about whether back in the day we were Oasis or Blur, back then it was Oasis, present day we decided Blur - so who were you in the original battle of Britpop? The show runs until August 14th so go take a look, below is a selection of my fave images...

Cover Lover - 'Loving LOVE'...
Cannot wait to get my hands on a copy of AW 2012 LOVE magazine on sale this coming Monday. But which of the Downton Abbey ladies will I choose - I am currently favoring Lady Sybil at this moment in time - who is your fave?...
Posted by: Miss J
...a blue spray haired Michelle Dockery looks nothing like her character Lady Mary Crawley...
...Lady Edith's Laura Carmichael with candy floss hair is nearly naked in net...
...Jessica Brown Findlay is a gothic bride, far away from Lady Sybil's usual attire...
...or maybe the black and white smoldering shot of Rob James-Collier aka Thomas the footman. Decision, decisions?
