Brave Mr B went to the vets yesterday to have his stitches taken out and so he is now sans pink cone collar and rocking a new temporary red one, until his new leather version arrives.

Bejeweled Bathers...
I have been a 'onesie' {swimsuit} woman rather than a bikini babe for a couple of years now and have picked up the term 'bather's' from my brother {Miss R's Irish Australian husband}. I favour a Fifties' silhouette on the beach as oppposed to a maximum skin exposing bikini as I, a. am pale and do not tan and b. have a few beach body issues {don't we all}. Underwired, halter strap, preferably printed - polka dot / leopard or gingham are what I usually rock, until now. Now I have spied Prada and Dolce's bejeweled bathers I am eager to unleash my inner poolside pin-up next summer! Ok, so maybe more showgirl than swimming pool they are beautiful none the less!

LV Loving...
Just a quick post to share the particular pieces that I loved {well all of it} at Louis yesterday. Ok so I have spoked about the carousel - I will upload a video later, there are a few on youtube already - go see - it is truely magical, a fantastical fashion moment if ever there was one! The genius of Mr Jacobs that he can take something that would scream fashion wrong and make it luxury right, is so apparent in the bag below. Executed so intricately well {yes that is some sort of treated leather - not the cheap neon plastic version you had when you were a fashion student kid} I imagine it will be a sell out when it hits the stores. The metal toe cap mules. Now I usually have an aversion to backless shoes, I always think I will end up losing one on a night out. These babies are pretty slick in the style stakes though. The pointed silver toe has been spotted on other catwalks {Pringle of Scotland did a very good version in London with rose gold as well as metallic turquoise caps}, the shape with everyone from Miuccia {both Prada & Miu Miu} to Acne and Thakoon is clearly the new shape in footwear for the coming season. The monogrammed parasol would be a must for any Spring 2012 bride, look at the shadow it casts on the models arm, subtle skin branding. Those lashes - I am a lash lover and the models on the revolving runway certainly gave good lash. Miss Moss closing the show and Marc's sad eyed bow complete with pave wishbone charm around his neck - another hint at his departure, if one was ever needed. The fashion world's worst kept secret.

Packaging Porn...
Lipsticks for me have to be two things - the right really bright statement colour and encased in a beautiful shell. I tend to just have a couple of signature colours. In the red corner I am a Chanel devotee and get through their Rouge Allure 'Enthusiast' no.64 like I must eat it or something! Then there is hot fuschia pink, where I tend to be a YSL girl. The below was gifted to me by Mummy Bijoux for the birthday. I love the art of applying lipstick as much as the look it achieves and for me the packaging is all part of the experience.

William Wilde Watch...
Daisy Lowe is clearly as big a fan of Mr Wilde as we are here at Bijoux {although obviously she looks a lot hotter than how I imagine I would in his designs}! I spotted the distinctive red 'cherry cocktail dress' on le Lowe in her new ad for mobile phone Sony Ericsson. Yes I am biased but it is clearly the best look of the shoot!

'The Lady {Gaga} is a Tramp'...
So the fashion world seems to be having some what of a Disney moment at present. Back at NYFW {doesn't that seem like a distant memory right now as Paris drew to a close this afternoon? Scary how fast a month can fly by once the catwalk carousel begins} the Rodarte sisters sighted Disney's 1959 'Sleeping Beauty' as an inspiration for their S/S 2012 collection juxtaposing it with Vincent Van Gogh's 'Sunflowers' and 'Starry Night'. There's the huge under the sea thang that many designers seem enchanted by, Disney's Little Mermaid anyone? I will be posting more about this trend shortly. But until then I thought I would share La Gaga and Tony Bennett's exuberant version of 'The Lady is a Tramp' below, tenuous Disney link yes - enjoy!
